Lynn Shelton directs this low-key drama telling the story of three unhappy people brought together in a remote cottage. Over a year after the death of his brother, Jack (Mark Duplass) is still in emotional turmoil. However, Jack arrives to find the house already occupied by Iris’s half-sister Hannah (Rosemarie DeWitt), who has come to recover from the breakdown of a long-term relationship. When Iris unexpectedly joins them the following morning, it soon becomes clear that all three have their reasons for hiding away from the world.
