Description

Charlton Heston stars in this post-apocalyptic action thriller directed by Boris Sagal. In the 1970s, biological warfare decimates the planet and by 1977, scientist Dr. Robert Neville (Heston) believes he is the only survivor immune to the plague left in Los Angeles. He spends his time patrolling the ruined city and fighting members of the Family, a cult of plague victims who have become murderous mutants, until he meets a group of young human survivors. He hopes to share his immunity to the plague with them to help them avoid their impending fate but it proves impossible to escape the Family forever. The cast also includes Anthony Zerbe, Rosalind Cash and Paul Koslo.
