Happy Finds Her Calm: A Lesson in Self-Control

Description

Engaging Picture Book Helps 3- to 6-Year-Olds Learn Self-Control

Friendly and outgoing, Happy is a boisterous puppy who is always excited! She has big ideas and an even bigger heart. But this tail-wagging, wiggly puppy often can”t contain her boundless energy–which can be a little too much for some of the other dogs in her class at school, who may not always appreciate Happy”s enthusiasm. She”s found her fun, but now it”s time for her to find her calm so that she can be a good listener and a good friend. This engaging book teaches kids the importance of self-control and gives them practical tools for developing it.

From veteran counselors and bestselling authors Sissy Goff and David Thomas, The Daystar Dogs series follows Happy and her furry friends at the little yellow house in Nashville. As the puppies, and the kids they help, navigate hard situations, children will discover how to regulate emotions, develop necessary social skills, and discover the difference each puppy–and child–can make. Heartwarming and helpful, these books speak to the heart of what your child needs emotionally, socially, and spiritually today.
