Description
Free Zone was nominated for the Palm’Or at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival and features Hollywood star Natalie Portman in a tale set in the ‘free zone’ of the Iraq-Saudi-Jordan borders. Portman plays an American woman, Rebecca, in Israel to visit her father where she teams up with an Israeli woman, Hanna, to try and get back money owed to Hanna’s husband from his balck market activities. Hanna Laszlo was awarded the Best Actress award at Cannes for he performance in this film.
