Who can she trust when her mother hates her, her friend is stuck in the future and an alien keeps trying to eat her?Martha and her friends encounter teachers who are not human, and one who manipulates time. She finally realises that her mother doesn’t hate her, as she takes the first step towards a healthier lifestyle. ‘A smartly plotted fantasy adventure for 9- to 12-year-olds packed full of twists, turns – and suspense!’ (The Wishing Shelf Book Awards, June 2024)
