The fifteenth studio album by Prince, originally released in August 1994. The album’s overall mood is dark, but the musical expressions are manifoldy. ‘Loose!’ is an acid house pop song, ‘Dark’ is old school soul, and ‘Solo’ is simply amazing: Prince and a harp. Also noteworthy is ‘Papa’, a family abuse-themed track similar to the outrageous ‘Sister’ from Dirty Mind.
