Ava Goes Global: MASC to the eco-beat 3 (Music, Art, Stories, Create)

Description

What do Ming Flamingo and Lotty Otter think about their new home? Why was little Loxo crying in the savanna grassland? How does Hujan describe the weather in Indonesia? ‘Ava Goes Global’ a unique fusion of fiction and non-fiction, follows Ava, Jamal and their friends as they explore the effects of global climate change on humans, wildlife and wildflowers in Europe, Africa and Asia. The novel, short stories captivate, as creatures explain about the dangers they face from wild weather and human behaviour. Stunning illustrations by Stu McLellan create a magical world that will stimulate children’s imagination. Novel songs create a fun reinforcement of the learning through inclusive, interactive, creative participation in music and art tasks. If you care about our natural environment and want a world that’s fit for future generations, then children, too, must play their part: be taught about the consequences of their actions: and guided into making informed decisions. The attitudes and actions of our children towards this planet are crucial. There is no more powerful message this century than climate change. There is no more powerful vehicle for communicating and delivering this message to children than the performing and creative arts. So… Inspire—Create—Enjoy!
