Description
Gary Farr and his ever-changing T-Bones had just three singles and an EP to their name on Columbia in 1964-65. Hear them as a vibrant four-piece on side one of this EP, with Vince Whetherall’s guitar driving them through powerful versions of Dylan’s ‘Maggie’s Farm’ and the soulful ‘Give All She’s Got’. The five-piece band perform the R&B classic ‘Wooly Bully’ at the Richmond Jazz & Blues fest, then two tracks from 1966 with perhaps the most interesting line-up featuring the king of trad Chris Barber on trombone with future Nice luminaries Keith Emerson and Lee Jackson.
