As Mercury Records’ musical director at that time, Quincy Jones was his own producer and decided to take advantage of the opportunity with his Big Band Bossa Nova, which put together some Antonio Carlos Jobim classics, along with some original compositions, including the international hit single ‘Soul Bossa Nova’. All wonderfully arranged by Jones and performed by his incredible all-star big band.
